1915-D $5 gold indian head

I have heard that these are all fake, I have one and it tested as 14k
gold, is it a fake made out of gold? does anyone know the composition
of these counterfeits?

There were no half eagles struck in Denver in 1915, so yes, if you have one,
it is a fake. If yours tested 14k, then it is indeed a fake made out of
gold, with a fineness of about .583 gold. The rest of its mass is likely
copper or some other base metal. But I must question the test results until
I see some documentation.
