IMHO No.
My opinion about dead presidents on coins should be well known.
This great nation has so much to celebrate and be proud of, why can't we
do better than dead presidents?
JAM
Because the ones who are alive all suck?
Yes, I agree that it is time for Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt, Washington,
and Kennedy to be retired from the denominations they have adorned for so
long and be replaced by other motifs that are not dead anybody. I see
nothing wrong with a series of one-time issues honoring each of our
Presidents, however. In fact, it may take the wind from the sails of those
who would lobby for one batch of DPs to be replaced by another.

If you mean interest among numismatists, maybe. If you mean interest
in spending them in the general public, not until the dollar bill goes
away.

This would be a great opportunity to pay tribute to our most well known
retired domestic automobile makes. One could be shown in the parking lot
at our various national parks during the next commem quarter effort, with a
dead vice president in the drivers seat and the park in the distant
background. Why didn't Congress think of this? Think of the millions of
jobs it will create.
But where are you going to fit in the Native American? Riding shotgun?
Maybe yes, maybe no...

Elizabeth II has been on coins for 50 years. However, her portrait has
changed several times.
I'm afraid that our coins have become so "set in stone" that we may
never be able to change them. It may be that our whole society is
calcifying.
JAM
No, just some of us.
