Help on Earl Weaver Oil Painting

I have a Hand Painted Oil of Earl Weaver ( artist unknown ). It came from his
mothers home when she past away. Yes, I am related to him and can prove it.
I am interested in finding a vaule on it. Some one PLease help

Value would be based upon proper identification of the Artist and the
quality of the work. If it is commisioned portrait and it can be
documented that would increase it's value, much in the way that other
items "owned" by a player/celebrity have an increase in value.
If it is a commisioned portrait and it is properly documented and
auctioned it should fetch over $1000.

Very very subjective. If it wasn't signed and the artist is unknown, it would
completely depend on eye-appeal and finding the right buyer. I mean, anyone could
sit down tomorrow and hand-paint an oil painting of Earl Weaver.
