I read on one of the pulp pages that Donald M Grant, founder of the
publishing house that bears his name--and a few others over the years--
died in mid-August. His firm was responsible for the deluxe series of
Conan books reprinting the original Howard stories, with new
illustrations, as well as many illustrated books by Harold Lamb and
others. (I have his excellent edition of Virgil's AENEID.) Of late,
his big project was a series of Stephen King limited editions.
