Bit of a Brag

I went to the annual (?) book sale at Wesleyan University in
Middletown, Connecticut this weekend. I consider it to be
among the very best in the area as the books are more
sophisticated and unusual than those in the typical library
book sale. Today, among other things, I acquired for a mere
$10 the following:

Epicteteae Philosophiae Monumenta, (Leipzig: Libraria
Weidmannia 1799-1800) 5 volumes, edited by Johann
Schweighaeuser, and consisting of:
v.1: Epicteti Dissertationes. --
v.2.pt.1-2: Notae in Epicteti Dissertationes. --
v.3: Enchiridion, fragmenta, indices. --
v.4: Simplicii commentarius in Epicteti Enchiridion ex
versione Latina Hieronymi Wolfii. --
v.5: Enchiridii paraphrasis Christiana, cum Mer. Casauboni
Latina versione. Nili Ascetae Manuale Epicteti, ad usum
juvenum Christianorum adcommodatum. Epicteti Enchiridion
Angelo Politiano interprete. Notae ad Simplicii commentarium.

The binding of one volume was fully intact, another except
for the spine, and the other three had been rebound. At
some point, I will probably have them uniformly bound in the
manner of the original binding. The interiors are in superb
shape with no pages missing or damaged.
