Is any of you heading to the squamish climbers festival in August?

With any luck, I'll at least be able to go to one of the evening events, and
maybe sign up for a clinic or two. I have been to some of the events in
years past, and it is always an amazing time.

Couple years ago, my wife signed up for one of the intro to climbing for
women clinics, and I was going to go cragging for the day. But when my
parter called to say he was had to cancel, I ended up taking one of the last
spots in Scott Milton's redpointing clinic. It totally wasn't the sort of
thing I would have ever sought out, but it was an amazingly helpful day, and
got my thinking about harder routes in a very different way (different from
what I had been doing... but I suppose quite similar to what most climbers
do these days!!)

Anyhow... I highly recomend the events, and definetely post your itinerary
here if you will be making it up. It might be just the thing to pull me
away from new-parent-hood (which is a blast!)

Later,
