Hi,

I just saw MI2 on TV and wondered if anyone here knows what that climb
is with the big rightwards dyno ? Is the dyno for real ? Are there
any other climbs with such big jumps as that and if so does anyone
have any video links ?

Thanks,

Mike

Haven't seen the movie, but a lot of the rock climbing scenes were filmed
down at Dead Horse Point

I don't think there is anything real about any blockbuster movie. As
for other climbs, here is a candidate:

Java Jive *** 11c (10d) (13a) A hard righthand start (Teabag
Tango) is possible. Climb an obvious left-arching 10c face-line past
bolts. Make a 7 1/2 foot dyno down into Java Jive (13a).

from The Climbers Guide to Squamish, Kevin McLane, 2005

Now, of course, calling a downward move a dyno might seem to be wrong.
In this case, though, it isn't.

Dhuude...Jumping off "any" 10 to get to a 13 is just sick and wrong...

Ratzzz...('Course if I was that good, it might seem fun...but sadly, not in
my lifetime)
