Frequent Fbombs but good:
Not really knowing who Jeff Gordon is, I decided to google and wiki him.
Seems as though he's married to a beautiful woman who has recently given
birth to his child.
Also saw some pictures of his prior wife and girlfriends- all very hot
women.
So?
Do you have proof he's gay? The evidence points to the contrary.
What "evidence"? Some pictures? Because he's married? That's just
stupid.

Sure it is, cause you know... gay people are, well queer and stuff
like that....;)
Absolutely!
Exactly!
You're right.. that is if the person accused of being "straight" is in an
openly gay relationship.

Dude!!
He is Gay!!
Why do you think he called his team "The Rainbow Warriors"?
AND HE DRIVES A CHEVY!!
There is your "proof" right there. :>)
Jeff Gordon is gay.
>Talking about poking fun and taking is seriously.... sheesh....
Must be a Jeff Gordon fan. :>)
Who the hell is Jeff Gordon?
Somebody you wouldn't be interested in - unless you were gay that is.
Right? :>)
Gay guy driving a Chevy.
Drives a Chevy so his rainbow will be up in the lead. He would drive a Ford
of he wanted to hide his gayness.
Oh. No, not interested.
Asking that is sooo gay...
,,|,,
ROTFL!!!!
And I needed a good laugh.
OK, I looked him up. He's a NASCAR racer. No wonder I didn't know who he
was. I don't follow redneckracing.
Oh, you knew who he was... you just wanted to lead yourself into a
remark about racing. We are on to your tactics, don't know what we
would do without them;)
Guy's driving Chevy's are gay.
Wrong. Never heard of the guy. Don't follow redneckracing, don't care
about. Went to a race at Daytona many many years ago, left because we
were bored. Rather see a race at Lime Rock.
,,|,, too...
You need to relax Scott.
Relax, huh, with all these gays around.. ain't gonna' happen...;)
I couldn't you Jeff Gordon from Flash Gordon.
Yeah right.
Why would you think *your* heroes would be *my* heroes? I don't follow
pro football, either.
I guess you are right, I went to the Huffington Post and the Daily Kos
and there was not much other than stories made up by bloggers and
complaints about news orgs that were beating their asses;) Being so
opinionated, I would think you would open up your news filters, just a
little:O
Maybe once a month I look at the Huffington page, because I think Ariana
is a trip. I looked at KOS about six months ago and thought it boring.
You really don't have a clue about what I read. I have no idea why you
care.
Like you, I am up late, having a little fun poking someone in the
ribs.. but I only do it at night, on the weekend, when I'm a couple
sheets short of a close haul;) I we had both been fishin' today we
could talk about that and SW could jump in and slap me around a
little;)
The funny part: I'd put you on fish and SW would be skunked.
That would be funny... I can see it now.
Do not like rednecks? Good union people.
I'd point out that your reading comprehension problems here are
well-known, but what's the point?

Harry,
It looks like we both failed grade school
Harry is all for the little guy and the downtrodden, unless he has to
get too close to them.

>The funny part: I'd put you on fish and SW would be skunked.
Highly unlikely, but I will admit to having had it happen more than a
few times over the years. :>)
Of course. If you don't like it, then it's a terrible thing, nothing
but rednecks, only dumb people would watch it, and on and on.
Read for content. Never said any of those things, but if that shoe fits
you, put it on.
I'd rather watch motorcycle races.
Here's some content:
"I don't follow redneckracing."
Who said that?
So sorry, not interested in perpetuating one of your mindless and
endless discussions. Go bite some concrete.
There's much more to it than most people realize.

Likewise. I did give a try, too, down at Daytona. Hell, I didn't even
like Daytona Beach. All those damned cars driving up and down.
But there are some good bars there. Or there were. Haven't been there in
many, many years.

Yes, and we are the rednecks :O
You know all. Where did the term Redneck come from?
I used to race sportcars in SCCA. But for watching racing, NASCAR and dirt
tracks are much better watching. Go to Rockingham, or another smaller track
and both the racing and the crowds are fun.
So sorry, not interested in your mindless childish insults.
Yup, I totally agree. Road racing is okay on TV, but not in the
stands.

I'll play. From the unionizing coal miners and their red bandanas.
Mark E. Williams
No, the term probably is religious in nature, and from another country.
In this country, it used to refer to members of the rural white workers
of the southern states.
Nope, Mark is correct. Hary, you are not very versed in mine union history.

The word was used in the UK long before there were colonies or states
here, but the history in the United States is colorful, and its first
use here was not in West Virginia coal country.
Even middle school kids know that Wikipedia can't be used as a source.
You ever done any outside work in the red clay soil of Georgia?
Wikipedia's wrong.

Trust Wikipedia? zowza.

No, but I know people who have. I have some relatives by marriage who
live in the area and they also know the etymology of the word. The fact
that today the word has different meanings for different people does not
change the fact that it was first used in another country and had a
totally different meaning.
Who pissed in your cup?
How far did you get in school, Bart?

So don't use it, but if you search on Covenanters, you will find the
Scottish use of redneck predates ours.
Ok.... who, pray tell, is the author of your cite? Who *is* Patrick
Huber? Is he *SO* incredibly versed that we should accept his word as
gospel... with no question? Did you notice he has *NO* citations for
his claims? Who published hi work... in fact, was it published at
all??? He might as well have said that the term was decreed by aliens.
Matter of fact, while you are at it..... why not let us all know who
and what bnet.com is...... (research center? Riiiiiiiggghhhtt..)
Wikipedia, on the other hand, offers no less than 29 citations to
support it's claims. Tell you what. Check out those 29 sources and
let me know what about Huber refutes that information.....
Point of Order.
Would it be your opinion that the term made it's way West via the
Celtic immigrants who settled in the Appalachian (sp?) Mountains?
The way I've read it in various books here and there over the years,
the term redneck developed concurrently (parallel development) rather
than being totally attributed to the influx of Celtic Presbyterians.
In fact, one of Mrs. Wave's dissertation advisors was something of an
expert on the subject regional and ethnic identifications and has some
compelling evidence that the term "redneck" has been around for a long
time in various languages and is not particularly related to strictly
English speaking groupings. I happened to mention it to her once at a
get together and was treated to forty five minutes of non-stop
information about the whole subject. The redneck thing came up as an
example.
Oh, and I forgot to mention...
Jeff Gordon is still gay. :>)
Forgot to mention this - the color red is often used as an indentifier
(scarfes, arm bands, war paint, etc.) in periods of rebellion. So it
would make sense that the term would spontaneously appear as a result
- not necessarily because of a religious disagreement.
Then again, we are talking about Celts. :>)

My guess is that you are correct, but attributing the term to the United
Mine Workers in the early Twentieth Century, is clearly not correct. The
term was used earlier on both sides of the pond.
You gay to? ;>)
Far enough to earn more money than you.
You've been claiming that for years, Bertie. I'm sure you believe it,
too. So, do you have a GED, at least?
It is not a claim Harry, it is the truth. Why don't you check your
dossier on me to find the information you ask seek.
Uh-huh.
That's our Bill. When found out to be wrong, as usual, instantly start
the insults, as usual.
Yeah, right. It's real difficult to understand. Noisy and smelly, and
then there are the cars.
Sorry, but watching fake "stock" cars driving around a long oval at high
speeds just doesn't do it for me. It reminds me of playing with a basic
electric trains set. And watching cars driving up and down the beach
does even less for me.
See? I knew you didn't understand it. You don't know what happens when
you change tire pressure in one tire 1 psi, or what happens if you put
a little wedge in or out of the right side as opposed to the left,
what happens when you change brake bias, what happens when you change
your race line, diamond the corners, what happens when the track
changes as the day goes on, or when the sun hits it, or goes behind a
cloud. You don't understand the hundreds of people including
engineers, specialists in different areas, etc. that make up one race
team.
It's not that I don't understand it, Looooooogie. I understand auto
racing and its mechanics and physics. It's just that I find NASCAR
boring and, beyond that, I simply don't give a s---.
Yeah, sure, Haaaaaaaaaary. Everyone here totally understands that you
think you know everything. So, if you didn't give a shit, why did you
feel the need to comment (negatively as usual)? It gets old. Because
you boat in salt water, for some dumb reason, you think that is the
only true test of manhood. When you claimed to own a lobsta boat, that
type of boat was just great, now that you own a CC, THAT's the only
kind of boat to own. If you don't like something that someone else
here is having a discussion about, you instantly chime in with
childish crap. Grow up.
You still a gay, pot farmer?
LOL... a happy one anyway..
Only a low life scum would accuse anyone of ANYTHING without any
evidence. And you've also proven my point that when found wrong, as
usual, you instantly start insults, as usual. Thanks!
Remember Granny, smokin' crawdads with the hippies;) ??
