I seen this before, small hurricane right before Thanksgiving hits the
FL Big Bend Coast raising hell, washing all the boats ashore and
toppling so many trees we did not have power for two weeks That was
Hurricane Kate in 1985 (or was it 84?). Had turkey fried on a coleman
stove for thanksgiving along with any other meat in the freezer.

Don't worry about it.

If Ida makes hurricane status, it will probably be for less than 12 to
18 hours dropping back to Tropical Storm status. It's probably going
to be absorbed by a frontal boundry and die off so you probably won't
even see winds higher than 20/25 Mph - if that.
