Can anyone tell me how I would go about repainting my 16ft fiberglass ski
boat. It is oxidized past repair in some areas, and I would like to repaint
it. Where does one get boat paint? It is used only in lakes and is never in
the water for more than a couple of days. It is now a bronze sparkly color.
I think it has a base coat of silver sparkle and a top clear coat containing
bronze sparkle. I don't necessarily want to keep the same color. My dad
will paint it(professional land vehicle painter), but I don't know what type
of paint to use. Is this a gel coat situation? Thanks for any help. Bryan

Standard automotive acrylic enamel works fine over gelcoat.
