It doesn't matter. President Bill's leadership led to something positive
and long-lasting in Kosovo, and the majority of people in that country
know it and appreciate it.
Why, he did a lot there for those people.. But of course, even if we say
something good about ad Dem, you won't aknowledge or admint it...

Why? Clinton helped out the ethnic Albanians, just like Bush helped
out the Iraqis being slaughtered by Hussein (Sadam, not Barak).
Good things should not go unrewarded.
Bush the First lied to the Shites and 1000s of them died. Bush the Second
lied to the American people, and 1000s of them died (not to mention the
100K+ Iraqi civilians).

It's now Obama's war: "Some 1,000 American soldiers are still based in
Kosovo as part of NATO's 14,000-strong peacekeeping force." - quoted from
the Yahoo post.
The minority media has no problem with that as it was one of them that
put them there... For the record, I have no problem with it either no
matter who put them there. We spend our blood, we have a duty to follow
through and help these countries rebuild and grow. We have done it for
decades. Like I asked before, someone tell me the country we went to war
with that we didn't rebuild with our blood and sweat, only to return to
the people of that country... I won't hold my breath.

Hey, John, I must have missed your apology where you accused me of

Had tosk gone to high school and taken U.S. history, he might not have
made the idiotic comment he did.
Korea is an ongoing war. And we have done well sending business to Viet
Nam.
You seem to be a little lacking also.
North Korea 1950-2009 and no end in sight.
There's an armistice in place in re: the Koreas. There is no ongoing
shooting war there resulting in deaths or serious injuries to thousands
of soldiers or civilians or both.
We did not help rebuild North Korea. Eventually, the two Koreas may
reunite. If that happens, we can help the emergent Korea rebuild the north.
North Korea "qualifies," as do Mexico and North Vietnam. Tosk is an
uneducated moron. That you are defending him for his stupidity and
ignorance speaks volumes about you.
Or the British re War of 1812. Canada wasn't a country until 1867
I wonder if Tusky Ingersoll is a native of Connecticut or if not a
product of its public school systems. I managed to get a pretty good
public school education when I lived up there. I'd hate to think the
schools there are now so far down the drain that they produce
ignoramuses like Scott.
That's certainly an interesting point. In most respects we screwed over the
native people.

My daughter is out of the hospital, but continues to have a low grade
infection. It's being treated, but is very persistent.
If things don't get better, then the breast implants will have to be
removed, and she'll have to wait about six months for everything to
clear up. If that happens, she's about made her mind to spend the rest
of her life 'flat chested'. I don't blame her.

Apparently neither of you comprehend that I was in high school in New

Interesting how New Haven schools went from, your claim of first rate to
shamefully sub standard.
Care to comment on how that happened?
I suspect that the failure of your boat dealership had something to do
with the economic down turn and social decline of the region.
Come on. Let's here your version of the story.
It could be the same problem with Montgomery County Maryland public
schools. In 10 or 15 years the Montgomery County Maryland public school
system will be just another of the thousands of school systems rather
than one of the top 3 in the country that they used to be 5 or 10 years
ago. It has to do with the policies of the Montgomery County Government.
I'll leave it to you to figure it out why.
I haven't paid any serious attention to new haven since I left the home
of my parents to go to college. In the last 30 years, I've been back
there only a couple of times to catch up with old friends. The house my
parents owned still looks good, as does the neighborhood. I know,
because one of my buddies still lives in the immediate area, and I
visit him from time to time. The commercial area in which our strip mall
is located actually looks better over time, as do some of my old
summertime "beach 'burb" haunts in milford and branford. I've never
regretted closing down the family boat business after my father died.
I was in montgomery county a few months ago, specifically rockville. I
loved all the new shopping areas and restaurants, but the traffic
congestion on rockville pike was heavier than I would tolerate if I
lived in that area.
Man, that's too bad. So they think the implants are causing the
infection, I take it? Maybe her body just can't tolerate them, that's a
shame, but if the only resolution is to not have implants, I wouldn't
blame her either.

is that aid goes into the pockets of the rulers.

She has a *great* ass. But, she calls him, "Dad."
LOL... glad you took it in the spirit I intended... A couple of weeks
ago at one of the races, a woman who was running things got up and spoke
for a few, asking us to pre-register for the next even so she wouldn't
have to be outside so much, he blood count is only about 1000 and she
was not even supposed to be there. She noted that it came quick and she
had both removed over the summer so she had fake boobs, then she took
off her hat and suggested we all shave our heads in solidarity;) I spoke
with he later and told her, not unless you need it for a wig. These
women have such strong spirits and a good humor about things, it's
amazing... God bless them all, they are in inspiration.

You must be giving her picture posting a lot of credence. I'm thinking
she's more like Harry. Probably borrowed the picture like Harry did
with the cute thing he posted.
That's what it seems like.
The strip mall is on the main drag in a suburb of New Haven. I'm one of
three partners in the mall, the other two being our long-time family
lawyer and our long-time family accountant, both of whom are high school
days buddies of mine.
The marina is long gone...it was developed as residential property,
though there are some docks for the condo owners.
I'm guessing you've got the age right. Boy or girl? Hard to tell.

I think it's a hybrid, but that's certainly true of China also. Again, it's

VN was never really communist. They sided with the Red Chinese, because we
would not support those who wanted their country back. Truman screwed up
big time letting France back into their colonies after WW2.

Vietnam may not have been communist, but Ho Chi Minh certainly was, but
he was also a pragmatist. He made deals with the Chinese Nationalists
(Chiang Kai Shek), and later with the French, to achieve Vietnamese
autonomy. Both parties screwed him over, and the rest is history. You
are right, we never should have backed French imperialism.
It's Obama's fault.
--
Nom=de=Plume
No doubt. We actually have posters here who are proud of their efforts
to kill Vietnamese, as if we had some divine right to do so. What we
should have done after WW II was help the Vietnamese throw off the yoke
of French imperialism.
You weren't invited to this party.

--
Nom=de=Plume
We did not need to help them throw off the yoke. It was gone in 1945. But
Truman let France have back all their colonies.
Hard to argue with that! But, the domino theory was in full steam ahead
mode.
--
Nom=de=Plume
the problem was the Frenchies should have not had it back. And we cost the
Vietnamese a lot in the fight against the French. We were supplying the
munitions. De Gulle, who is not one of the admired by me, at least told Ike
to stay out after the fall of the French. Ike did not listen.
I don't really think LBJ wanted a war. I think he was sucked into it by the
allure of the anti-communism tone, and then later by the generals. He was
terribly troubled by the toll it was taking on our soldiers, but didn't do
enough to bring it to an end.
--
Nom=de=Plume
LBJ cause a huge toll on our soldiers. Him and his defense secretary
micromanaging.
He and his defense secretary... whatever. Yes, but the biggest toll was
continually escalating.
--
Nom=de=Plume
Especially in a war in countries where there was no reason for us to be
out there killing.
That part of it -the killing- probably turned on losers like herring and
flajim.
LBJ suffered from inflated ego and hubris.
McNamara thought he could conduct a war with a calculator.
No argument there...
--
Nom=de=Plume
Plus he made millions from the war. Lady Birds investments did well. LBJ
was near bankrupt when he took over as President and left 4 years later with
$4 million net worth. When a million was a lot.
