I have been considering replacing my Johnson 150 Ficht with a Honda 130.
The boat is a TR18 Triton Bass Boat. The 150 was plenty of power and good
hole shot for the boat. I was hoping to here from other how have had
good/bad experiences with four stroke engines on bass rigs.

I have heard or have been quoted prices from $11770 to $9500 for a Honda
130. Why do dealer have to have such mystery. What is the going retail
price and what have boater, like me, actually paid for one?

$11770 is ridiculous. I paid $11,500 Cdn for mine. I'm
sure they were low nines or high eights a year and a half
ago in the U.S. If you haven't already been there, go to
www.honda-marine.com and click on Boat Applications
for performance data. Lots of different types and weights
were trialed with the 130 including bass boats. Gives you
an idea what to expect. If you handle the weight on your
transom, there isn't a downside to these motors.
