None of my friends smoke, but I do know of a guy who has 4 tax liens filed against him and who has taken bankruptcy twice.

All the best,
George

Yeah, but will she still be doing it when she's 97?

*That's* the question!

Some people smoke and get away with it, others die in their 40s and
50s. It probably depends on your genetic make up. Quitting was one
of the best things that I ever did, and was also one of the toughest.
There are some things requiring intense concentration that I was never
quite as good at after quitting.

Same here, you have to have will power, unbelievable will power. But
after a year when I started to get clear lungs, I couldn't believe how
much better I felt.

Yes, that was the good part, feeling better and no longer being
physically addicted to nicotine. It's a tough habit to kick however
and even a year later I would sometimes find my hand in my shirt
pocket looking for a pack of cigarettes that wasn't there.

Speaking of quitting...a cute little 'meter' from Silk Quit keeps track of good things:

*************************
This will certify that John Leo Herring has not smoked cigarettes for twelve years, five months, one
day, 15 hours, and 42 minutes. This has resulted in 226782 cigarettes not smoked, saving $34,017.09
and a great reduction in his Global Warming Carbon Dioxide Footprint. Furthermore, this will provide
him an additional 2 years, 8 weeks, 3 days, 10 hours, and 30 minutes to spend his daughters'
inheritance.
*************************

The dollars represent cigs at $3/pack, or thereabouts. Now that they're upwards of $5 a pack, the
dollar amount would be higher.

Hell, I'll be able to buy that used Porsche 911 before long! http://tinyurl.com/oef8byn

Oh, yeah, several years after quitting, I'd smell cigarette smoke and it
stunk, but I'd think, man, I'd like to have a cigarette!!
