to repaint an alum. boat after removing the old paint two quistions - did you
reach metal surface ? then you have to use these steps 1)sand with disck
sanding machine using grit 60 or 80 2)wash with liquid soap.3)deoxidise with
alu. gel deoxident at (ACE Hardwar).3)wash with water and completly dry
4)within two hours epoxy primer must be applied .5)lightly sand (150 or 220
)the dry primer and wipe/wash 6)apply paint (topcoat),min two coats . if the
boat is coverd with body filler then disregard steps 2,3,and instead of epoxy
primer in 4 you can use a cheaper paint primer .good luck
