a huge mistake giving Couric that much access, they should have known
better. They should have given 15 minutes, with a no editing clause and
two cameras like all of the Dem operatives and candidates do for

It's a shame that the greatest nation in the world is so poorly run by a 2
party system.
1. Start with a cage containing five apes. In the cage, hang a banana on a
string and put stairs under it. Before long, an ape will go to the stairs
and start to climb towards the banana.
2. As soon as the ape touches the stairs, spray all the apes with cold
water. After a while, another ape makes an attempt with the same result -
all the apes are sprayed with cold water.
3. Turn off the cold water. If, later, another ape tries to climb the
stairs, the other apes will try to prevent it even though no water sprays at
them.
4. Now, remove one ape from the cage and replace it with a new one. The new

have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs, or why they
are participating in the beating of the newest ape.
7. After replacing the fourth and fifth original apes, all the apes which
have been sprayed with cold water have been replaced.
Nevertheless, no ape ever again approaches the stairs. Why not?

That's a great start! Actually probably the most significant single move
concerning lobbyist he could make, othere than outright outlawing these
criminals. The next move, after tossing the rest should be a transition of
Government by FIRING every elected official (R and D) that has taken any
money at all from lobbyist.
I know it would be viewed radical to make such a change but shouldn't these
powerful people, elected and kept in office by Americans that trust them, be
held to the same standards we try to instill in our children?

The trouble is the money required to run an effective campaign.
Politicians are forced to ally with sources of cash in order to be
competitive. The Dems pick more benign partners, the Republicans seem
not to care if who they're in bed with spews shit into the air and
water, poisons people or offers shoddy service to the government for
profits (Haliburton, Blackwater).
Public funding of campaigns is the only answer.
