Subject: Is modern day life designed to keep the majority of us unhappy?
(This is a question tossed around in my local forum. The idea of
having been "designed" is in itself interesting. Who designed
unhappiness and for what purpose? Are we unhappy outside in or inside
out? This is a great opportunity to exercise wisdom. Yes, wisdom is an
exercise like aerobics, only that you bring oxygen to the neurons.
This is something top secret in a system that banks on your stupidity,
of course. And that's how they get churches full of people.)

Another theory going around is that by making it possible to be
part of the minority that is happy, you only got to make money. But
the more you think about making money, the more unhappy you become.

I'd suggest that you get some lotto tickets once in a while, but
don't overdo it!

It sounds like a fair description of the situation. That accounts for
pedestrians/cyclists being totally dismissed by the system. On the
other hand, those who take a loan and buy a vehicle --the bigger the
better-- enjoy this freedom of mobility.

I think you can attain a high degree of happiness by being outside,
maybe at the beach, maybe riding a bike. It's not the same as being on
the computer the whole day. Those are choice we make everyday: LIFE'S
A BEACH, LIFE'S A BITCH. But in my case I find that my community is
full of shit --that's cat shit and dog shit-- and that I got no space
to ride a bike.

There are SIMPLE THINGS our masters can do to make our every day life
just a few degrees better. One thing they often forget is to make our
communities GREEN. Green landscaping and happiness are strongly
associated. One recent study named the saddest cities in America and
its association with plants and trees. HAVING NO PEOPLE OUTSIDE makes
it sad.

See, everything is nice and free, and that's why they want to keep us
unhappy. NOTHING SHOULD BE FREE. They want people to get in the car
and go to the mall.
