We all know that sailboats are sorta "tippy" and this is very
dangerous. SO, I have invented "sponsons" for them. They would be
used on either side of the main hull held out by rigid beams. Using
my sponsons, the entire boat could be lightweight because it would not
need heavy ballast. Millions of American children are endangered
every year by tippy sailboats and they would all be safer with
sailboat sponsons.

I too have invented one... it's a 10 foot long PVC pipe and you attach it
perpendicular to the bow making your kayak/sailboat 10 feet wide at the
front... When you paddle you move so slowly you'll never get far enough
from shore to get in any trouble...
