I'm a new kayaker in the area of Nanthahala with a new sit on top....I would
love to use it before November. Anyone got any HOPE to help me???

Shirl, I was just up there, but didn't know about you, so ...
When I was camping (at Big Nantahala, across from Endless River
Adventures) I was surrounded by other paddlers and opportunities to
paddle were made by one and all. If you are there anyway, try and get to
know some of those folks that work there, that know who's doing what.
Find out where paddling folks hang out in your town or area. Take a
clinic,take private instruction (I can recommend some folks), get to
know the instructors, get to know your boat, get to know where you can
go play on your own - you'll meet folks at the play spots. If you are
there, watching, ask someone who is playing if they will show you how.
