How do you install hardware on wooden masts?

I know you use screws, but do you use bedding for each piece or what?

My plans didn't come with that info.

Thanks
Dave

I like using Dolphinite for bedding on masts.

Dolphinite is a basic bedding compound and is available at any marine hardware
store. Probably be able to order it from West Marine if you don't live in a
marine type area.

I built a wooden mast. I used #10 SS screw, which have deep threads , I
used them to install all of the mast hardware. They are holding ok.
My mast is made of Stika spruce.
