About three years ago my friend and I each built 16' canvas kayaks.
We used one primer coat and then three coats of oil based paint. We
have had a lot of fun paddeling around Albemarle Sound here in NC, but
the paint continues to bubble, blister and chip in the brackish water.
The kayaks are still waterproof but don't look great. Does anyone have
a better sloution than the oil based paint?
