I've mentioned before that we have resident deer living in the woods
behind our house. Our back deck is essentially at ground level and I usually
spread bird seed, cracked corn, etc. on the deck and the built in bench.
Today I was lazy, and just threw some seed on the deck for the birds and
other creatures. Sure enough, a deer checked out the bench, and not finding
any seed, walked onto the deck. Deer look pretty large when they're only
5' away from the patio door! My camera wasn't handy, but the moment was
priceless!
