Well, now there isn't any reason to bother going up to the road to get
the paper.

Oh, wait. Yes there is. Unless somebody posts "Heart of the City".

I some time wonder what kind of a bird I'd want to be if I had to be a bird.

Years ago, I thought the Turkey Vultures soaring over The California
mountains and deserts had the good life.

Now days I think maybe the Chickadees have a good thing going. And I
don't see a problem with Nuthatch, either.

Bluejays have some positives, but they manage to attract some haters, as
to the Crows.

Cardinal would be OK. Grackly is OK, but I don't know if I could put up
with the yammer.

And I don't think I want to be an anonymous LBB--too much like this life.

It reminds me of my mother. She lived and was very active in a small
community in West Marin Co. CA. She said that if we had a Memorial
Service for her she would come back an haunt us (because she thought
that folks would talk to long and say pointless things)--all true.
Well, we had a get together but, called it a celebration of Life. A
couple of her friends thought that the people who knew here should be
able to speak up. These two fellows went to get the the sound equipment
and on the way one of them went down with some sort of physical
problem--caused we think by my mom. It turned out to be not serious but
the paramedics showed up and no sound equipment was used.

There is another story about her coming back but, that is for a later
time :)

I've had a deep fried pickle once. I love pickles, but that did nothing for
me.

But a friend sent me chocolate covered dill pickles, apparently a ND
delicacy, and those I adore. Even better, chocolate covered jalapeos - a
sweet/hot rush

You have a point there.
