Just to clarify--I don't know. I was gambling that there are more cows
than bulls.

But I probably should have accounted for the fact that it is a solo
elephant and hence probably a bull.

But "Bull Birds" isn't very funny.

Indeed, I do believe so. But I am not familiar enough with elephants to
make the cow-or-bull call from that point of view.
