I've got three bottles dissolving sugar on the kitchen counter--will out
them out later today or tomorrow, depending on rain and show status.

I'll also put out a jelly jar in hopes that an Oriole stops by.

This little guy has been visiting the feeder most all day today . I might
have it a bit to close to the seed feeder , the other birds seem to startle
him . He sure is pretty in his iridescent reds and greens !

I put up the hummingbird feeder a couple of days ago. Have yet to see
one of them. Enjoy the view!

Y'all do know you can check their progress north at hummingbirds.net for their migration map, don't you? I always keep an eye on it.

One year I was weeding a small garden and had, I'm sure, a repeat feeder come up to my face and cheep at me because I didn't have the feeder out yet. I went in immediately and filled it, and he was sitting in the tree waiting for me.

I live in Las Vegas,

and i've had two feeders for years

i get a few hummers all year round,
but i've also gone months without one hummming bird

Last night there were two ... briefly , because one chased the other off .
Only seen one at a time today , but they could be takin' turns .

Hummers are notoriously territorial. :)

I still haven't seen one this year. The weather has been very strange.
We had a very mild Winter but Spring has been quite chilly. And very
windy. Maybe that's a factor. By this time last year I was seeing them
all over the place.

I put up thee feeders a week or so ago but I have not seen the little birds.

No flowers blooming here yet. The map says they are still south and
east of us--and if I see one it is usually several days after somebody
nearby has report a sighting. (I think the western edge of the range is
about 20 miles west of here.)
