A pair of Mallard ducks landed in our back yard yesterday, maybe
expecting to find some corn on the ground, but they'll have to wait
until the snow is gone before I scatter any corn in the yard or
any seeds on the deck. When will Spring arrive in Minnesota?
Maybe in June? Aargh!

That is a very good question Dick. It is looking like November here in
Fargo. I am totally tired of winter. :)

If it makes you feel any better (probably won't) it was only 68F in
Saint Helena, SC yesterday. Supposed to be just as cool today. Except
for a couple of days where it got close to 80F we haven't really had
Spring yet. Still no hummers!

Just reported my first hummer, far north of you, Jill. We're at the Bull Run
Battlefield in Virginia.

I still have hoards of Redpolls both Hoary and common and a fairly large
flock of Juncos. Woke up this morning to more snow albeit very
light--supposed to be in the 70's by the weekend. Flood forcast may be
down graded to 38 feet which is not much of a problem. I am at 43 feet
so no worry there. :)
