It was dark and cold when Dearest Daughter returned from a friend's house.
As she came in the front door, so did two Carolina Wrens. It took me about
15 minutes to encourage them back out the front door. While dodging the
hockey gear that lives there and with all the "advice" from son, husband and
daughter.

Thank heavens we have an airlock entry or they'd have flown in to the house
with the high ceilings and fans....

I think they had decided that the wreath was a nice cozy spot to spend the
night. And they spent the night in the pines

What fun!

Every now and again we get folks moved into the garage--sometimes
through the cat door which is low to the ground.

I suspect I'd have been allowed to gently pick each one up, but with DD in
the room and husband and son LOUDLY offering advice.... I just really hope
they made it through the night.

I have one get on the back porch from time to time. It is amazing to
me that they can find and squeeze through a tiny opening to get in but
can't seem to find it to get out!
