  I&#39;ve been having problems with my rear derailleur system where the indexing seems to be slipping on its own. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;It&#39;s a SRAM force with a 10 cog cassette. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;That is, shifting becomes funky and I hear that sound when I shift. I often have to over-push the paddles to get onto a larger cog. Eventually I can&#39;t get onto the largest cog at all. (This in fact caused some consternation on one steep pitch!) Other gears might skip or the cog drops down to the next smaller one.

  You paid for two Campy chains and got 10k km out of the pair? That&#39;s only about 11% better than I do. I got 4506km out of my last X8 KMC chain. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;There are guys on the Thorn netsite, where I hang out because of the good Rohloff info, who commute in all kinds of British weather and get 10K plus out of a chain, every time. I&#39;m just about the hardest guy on chains there, especially considering my chain runs inside a completely enclosing case (Hebie Chainglider). If I use an open chain, a good one lasts 2200km and a cheap SRAM is lucky to see a thousand miles/1600km.

I don&#39;t know how much juice those cells really hold, because measuring is difficult without resoldering the cable. But it certainly is more than a mere 8.8Ah or even the 9Ah the vendors are now rounding it up to. I don&#39;t know where you could get one though. The people who supplied mine never advertise just the battery without the rest of the kit, and in the Far East the people who advertise the battery alone either can&#39;t find anyone to ship it or never have stock. When I have to replace mine, I&#39;ll probably find some German dealer with stock, and pay well over the odds, so I&#39;m not worried. Or the cells are available, so I guess I could rebuild it, since there is already a high-quality controller inside, and I have the correct charger.
