See the link above for image. Cycling news yesterday said Chris
Horner rides with a small pump, I assume for training. As he's a top
professional, I assume he's using a pump that actually works. Can
anyone spot what brand and model this is? Thanks.

which almost works, just looking for something better.

Horner's pump looks like a Bontrager, similar to this one:

pumps. I bought the MTB version for my mountain bike. I never tested
it and the first time I got a flat I discovered it did not work very
well. Air leaked out around the valve and I was lucky enough to get a
little bit of air in my tire for the ride home.
In my experience nothing beats the Toepeak Morph pumps. They are a bit
bulky, but the hose and foot brace make them very effective.
They are also priced less than the Bontrager models. The Toepeak floor
pumps work great too. Also, the one time I had to contact Toepeak for
support, I was very impressed with their customer service.

Lezyne Micro Floor Drive pumps work just as well, without all the
plastic parts that break. And the screw-on chuck is more dependable.
And they're a little bit smaller.

pump for its size, but no better. I have an SKS pump about the same
size and they are equal in putting air in the tire, but the separate little
hose for the Lezyne is a nice feature and I've pulled the stem out of
the valve a couple of times with the SKS, could just be me.

Yep, you're probably right. I just haven't broken down and gone to a frame
-pump but it makes sense for road bike tires.

Yep, you're probably right. I just haven't broken down and gone to a frame
-pump but it makes sense for road bike tires.
