2nd place - the new 11th. Oh wait, when you said Kf'nC would finish
out side the top 10, you were using binary! Hmm, that still doesn't
work for your prediction.

There's always next year. :)~

Last lap video here:

Not as good quality as the youtube of the men's
race, and it cuts off an instant after the winner
finishes, so you don't get to see the 2nd/3rd
finish, which is a bit annoying. Still beats waiting
a month to read the results on paper in Velonews
though.

Nice attack by Vos to distance Compton and Nash
just after the off-camber uphill. That section, while
brief, seemed to give a lot of people fits. I think
Compton slips while running up it just before the
Vos attack - just momentarily, but probably enough
to lose a bike length or two.

Vos crashed on the off camber every lap until she decided to a) walk and
b) be in front there. Then she still tripped. But on the last lap it
finally went perfect and Compton had a minor slip-up. Vos saw she had a
small gap and went full gas. She broke Compton on the next climb, that's
where the gap exploded.

I was wrong about Contador. I was wrong about Compton (but
right in that it wasn't her year). And I was wrong about the
Elite Men, it was Page instead of Johnson, in 12th instead of
14th.

Even so, I'm pretty confident that the Feds won't be coming
after Landis for hacking the French lab's computer. I'm still
doing better than the rbr poster that only types with one hand
because the other is helping him train alone.

Johnson was set to do much better than DNF, when someone rode into him
on the home stretch on lap (dunno, about halfway) in a group of
nervously swirling squirrels. He had been moving up until then. That was
the third group behind Stybar/Nys and a few stretched out chasers. Page
was in that group as well. Instead Johnson crashed hard and was put in
the ambulance (nothing broken, it turned out). Shame. About the crash I
mean, not the nothing-broken.
