Dumbass -

They should include the Arniko Highway, Tibet to Nepal.

As for those photos, I've always loved the Stelvio. Karakorum Highway looks
awesome too along with the road to Machu Picchu.

thanks,

Kurgan. presented by Gringioni.

dumbass,

does anyone know what the road is that's pictured on the cover of
accelerated C++ ?

i always assumed it was the stelvio, the book only states that the
photo was taken by one of the authors.

Dumbass -

It doesn't look the same as the Stelvio in the photo essay.

Galibier near Plan Lachat is my guess, view north towards Valloire,
although the hairpins in the bottom right of the photo don't seem to fit.

Cover photo copyright © 1995, 2000 by Andrew Koenig

Trade it in for::
"The C++ Programming Language: Third Edition" by Bjarne Stroustrup.

It's a better book although Accelerated C++ is still perfectly pertinent

But Davey will give you a free copy of Accelerated C++ !!!
