Those deals are usually made when there are 2 guys in a breakaway and one
buys off the other. That way they ensure cooperation to stay away from the
chase.

If there are 6 guys involved, it's highly unlikely because a payoff to one
guy doesn't ensure a win. The other 4 guys aren't gonna cooperate. I doubt
anyone would even attempt making a deal - unlike the scenario in the
previous paragraph, there really isn't a deal to be had.

thanks,

Fred. presented by Gringioni.

It worked in last years first stage of Tour of Cali with three.

Actually, this was the argument I expected from the Chimp if he were
paying attention, especially vis-a-vis LA and the Pirate (which would
be a really good name for a folk rock duo) - gifting mountain top
finishes in the Tour for two finishers generally has about five
minutes to resolve itself, spoken or not, money exchanged or not, and
generally involves only two people or three people on two teams - not
to mention you can be a lot more subtle about sitting up when you are
doing that literally anyway. Better answer than his, which ignores the
fact that stage wins in grand tours are generally given second accord
in palmares listings for the last, oh, 75 years or so, chimp opinions
aside, right alongside minor classics.

Fred K. Cringioni gets both points on this one.

Dumbass -

In the first sentence it says "usually made".

Got any examples of six?

Dumbasses,

It would only be natural to ally with the former, fast teammate
against a real duo. And it was a good, well timed lead-out.

As opposed to a remarkably stupid attempt to win long.
So my guess is on the lead out.

We could disappear you from our universe if we wanted to.

I'm starting to think Magilla's evil twin sister Yenta has been
posting under his name since she put him in that cage with the large
silverback a few weeks ago.
