All the points and times

I had more fun reading that than watching the TV highlights today. Am
I really that jaded with the professional game, or had someone sneaked
a mogodon in my tea?

If you don't enjoy seeing cyclists suffer then you need psychiatric help.

I'm not in awe of the game like I was over twenty years ago. Is the
interveni9ng years I have learnt too much about athletisism and the
way sport is typically managed at high level. It's a show just like
world wrestling or whatever it's called but in the same way there can
be great animosities which result in real battles that threaten
lives. If you are at the top, you can earn untold amounts of filthy
lucre, but at any level which gets you into that peleton you are at a
heightened risk of injury and death. It's a sordid game just like
running, that is unable to shake off its history.

Anyone for a game of draughts?
