“We have no concerns whatsoever about the new plasticizer tests being
applied to Lance’s samples,” Fabiani told Bloomberg.

Because most of them pre-dated the UCI banning IV transfusions, making them
irrelevant?
Because they used a different type of plastic then that the current test
doesn't detect?
Because, if he was doping, it wasn't the conventional manner (requiring
blood bags) that others used, since he hasn't been caught?

Time will tell.

There's always a relevant Star Trek quote. Perhaps this one-

Capt. Picard: "We may yet prevail. That's a... a conceit. But... it's a
healthy one. I wonder if the Emperor Honorius watching the Visigoths coming
over the seventh hill truly realized that the Roman Empire was about to
fall. This is just another page in history, isn't it? Will this be the end
of *our* civilization? Turn the page."

You forgot the biggest and most important reasons; because he knows a
lot more about testing and the condition of the samples than you
(Lafferty).

I have no doubt that Fabio knows more and knows that his client is a
doper. But, one of the advantages of being a PR flack who's also a
lawyer, is that he can hide behind attorney client privilege.

I look at it from a different perspective. If he knows Lance is a
doper and there is a strong possibility that those samples, if
tested, would come up positive, why would he lie about not being
concerned?

You may take it personally but Its not about you. Its about
objectively assessing the information you post for its validity in
proving Armstrong doped. I look at it both from a scientific
perspective and from a "would a jury be convinced" perspective and
also speculate somewhat as to the motivations of the people involved.
The jury is simply a crap shoot and any scientific evidence won't be
without its problems either. However, if it wasn't for the obvious
bias in the information you post, I'd probably be a lot less
interested in this topic. As for Armstrong, any uncertainty about
whether he doped or not dissolves pdq with the first scientifically
irretutable piece of evidence and then I'll say no more.
