If cycling's "best" can't sell anything then the money is soon to
follow into sports that don't run the risk of your main attraction
being a fraud.
Who will want to bet on cycling? I wouldn't sign up for it.

OK, so Lance is a dick. That's old news. Radio Shack, however, has
been knocked around by competition for ever-shrinking discretionary
income. Consumers just aren't spending as much on audio or video
equipment. Best Buy is much bigger than the Shack, and can offer more
stuff at lower prices. The image of a multi-millionaire on his bike,
in his office, selling high end phones, won't resonate with the
average consumer. Retail sport icons have a wider appeal - Brett Fav-
ray, Danica Patrick, and a host of NASCAR drivers will always have
more appeal than a skinny guy in spandex.

maybe if the skinny guy is christian vandevelde. think back to 2003 or
2004, armstrong was a beloved boy scout and livestrong bracelets were
ubiquitous and he was a national hero. aerobic golf is popular with a
lot of oldstrs and even john kerry and george bush were into cycling.
in the end lance's dickishess is biting him in the ass. if he wasn't a
dick betsy andreu would cut him some slack. he could bought anderson a
bike shop and could've given kenny labbe's spot on radio shack to
floyd.
favre's disckishness has also hurt his market value, but in a
