Swiss cyclist Alexandre Moos, currently with BMC, is hanging up the
road bike this year, after fifteen years in the pro peloton; his next
goal is mtb marathon worlds. Asked about the changes he's seen in
cycling since his start, he told the Swiss newspaper Le Temps:

"[cycling] has changed enormously. Not only does it take place on
every continent, they race differently now. The youngsters have no
less respect for their elders. With the radio, they don't need the
veterans to explain how things work. Before, you needed to know
Italian; now you need to know English."

dumberass,

Moos has just reached the age to notice what older humans have noticed
since homo sapiens acquired language. And a whiner doesn't last 15
years on the pro peloton, unless of course he racks up an impressive
number of podium places.
