They dropped the probe on Angelo Mozilo.

If Lance gave low % re- financing to as many politicians as
Countrywide did then he'll probably be OK

Please call me when the revolution starts. This god damn country is
full of cunts.

They were all doing it so that makes it okay.

Nobody ever said it was ok, just that it's the reality of pro cyclng,
and that the only thing LA did that was worse than the others was to
win.

There are many things that ONLY Lance did.

Lance was way worse (or better?): he used his self-inflicted cancer to
turn himself into some
mythological inspirational hero that inspired sick people to somehow
"beat" a disease by being "strong", had sex with one of the 18 year
old Olson twins, dumped his wife for Cheryl Crow, ruined the careers
of dozens of cyclists, and created the stupidest fashion trend since
parachute pants or cycling headbands - the rubber "cause" bracelet.
These are a few of the things Lance did that others - let's say Riis
or Ullrich - didn't do.

Most of all he was hostile and aggressive to anyone who spoke out
about the realities of doping - like Bassons or Simeoni.
You never saw Ullrich chastising a young cyclist for speaking out
about doping. Armstrong told Bassons to leave the Tour for giving an
interview that said doping was a reality in the peloton. Is this the
behaviour of a real champion?
Would Indurain, Fignon, Merckx or Lemond ever behave like that?
Armstrong is also - despite his wealth and celebrity - Texas white
trash at heart: uneducated, materialistic, with a chip on his
shoulder, crazy daddy and mommy issues and most of all - a win at all
costs mentality.
Only the USA could create a pro cyclist like him.
.
Armstrong was a great cyclist, with natural talent, mental strength
and a doping program that was always a few steps ahead of other riders
and the testing.
I think actual bike racing at the TDF would have been much better the
last ten years without him, other riders like Beloki, Kloden, Basso,
Ulltich etc. would have had a chance to shine.
Finally, the funniest thing ever about Armstrong - his 1996 Fleche
Wallone victory. He weighed about 300 pounds, all muscle, and his head
and jaws showed obvious signs of HGH use, he literally turned himself
into a frankenstein.
The Velonews headline: LIKE A BUFFALO!
Some Euro team manager said Armstrong looked like a Buffalo...the
pictures don't lie, anyone with any knowledge of HGH can easily see
Amrstrong was the only rider that went so far abusing HGH he developed
gigantism, sunken eye sockets, huge neanderthal caveman forehead,
bolts sticking out the sides of his neck, which was wider than his
head.
He was an entire countries hero and role model for over ten years,
says something about our country.

Only thing worse is that he inspired other talentless dipshits to also
dope and then brag about it on RBR decades later.

But other than that a damn good post Mike.

Was I bragging about anything? If I had raced clean the whole time I
would have something to brag about, but instead of just talking about
the positive, I'm willing to be honest about what I did. I believe in
full disclosure - like most of the cat.1 and pros I knew, I dabbled in
cheap Mexican dope.
Honesty is more interesting than everyone pretending.
Like I said, I raced with 38 year old guys who were clean, with three
kids, a nagging wife, 12 hours a week to train, a mortgage and a full
time job that routinely beat me in local races. I don't think that is
bragging.
I raced well clean as well. It was easier on dope. Thems the facts.
