The time checks were at about the 1/3rd and 2/3rd points,
which doesn't always show differences in pacing (who blew
up, who went out too slow) quite as drastically as when you
have a time check at the halfway point. Lang went out too slow;
Gonchar laid the smack down (make of that what you will,
though he is a specialist).

Zberg had a flat on the last leg and didn't have a team car behind him
but incredibly just some random car from the publicity caravan that did
not have spare wheels. It wasn't until Arrieta overtook him that he got
a wheel from the AG2R car.
