Anwyay, nice way of saying thanks to Bjarne for the TDF win...He
probably needn't apply for the 2009 TDF. He'll be trounced without a
Team like CSC to help.

He'll be 34 next year. It's likely that Bjarne will be
emphasizing younger riders next year and did not discourage
Sastre from cashing in while he could.

Sastre's contract was up and he could read the writing on the wall.
Basically, it appears he's a member of the reality-based community.

dumbass,

riis himself said that the future of the team is in the schlecks and
it sounds like cervelo came up with the money.

he might not have won the tour without csc, but as the current tour
winner he is likely to get cervelo invites to many top races. a good
move for a first year team. with protour etc. dead invites are the
only thing that matter.
