You know these forks won't break if you use Chinese toothpaste instead
of Phil Wood to assemble them.
It seems the antifreeze in the toothpaste prevents breakage. Works
well for teeth too !

I met a guy last month who crashed on that fork and broke his ankle
quite badly. That was not reported in the official Cervelo statement
which said the worst injury was a broken wrist. He told me this
because I have the exact same fork.

There are several instances around this area where those forks have failed
otherwise than in a fall or collision
Most of the lads are simply replacing them with other brands and are saying
nothiing but I noticed that Cycles Antipolis don't have any Cervelos in stock
any more though ;)

If the hospital didn't report it, then CPSC will never know. There is no
law requiring anyone to report an injury or death to them.

Ilan, I'm still recovering from that crash I had when I broke my fork. It's
been 3 months now and the small bones in my face still haven't knit in
places.
I'm hoping that you will IMMEDIATELY get a replacement fork.

I'm making an appointment for this Sunday. My wife is more worried
than I am, especially since she witnessed my descending style, I
dropped her as she was driving behind me going down Smuggler's Notch
in Vermont and I was doing 50mph at one point which was probably
close to 60 on her speedometer. The descent of Le Revard near Aix-les-
Bains where we have been going is quite bumpy, so the fork issue might
slow me down, actually, probably not.....

I got my bike back today, there was a pile of them and the poor
mechanic had 4 more to do for today, I left as he was sawing a fork
while wearing a gas mask. On the ride aftewards I noted that the bars
were pointing a little to the left. The headset was also a little
tight and the bolts weren't tightened to the required 5 NM. Apart from
that, it works fine. The new 3T fork has less stickers than the Wolf
one, which is good.
