rouler un an.

Can someone translate this? I think it's Flemish, and the usual
suspects for machine translation don't do that.

thanks,

Here's the translation you requested...
Axel Merckx hates Floyd Landis for ruining his life. In spite of the
dissolution of Phonak that was caused by Floyd Landis, Axel Merckx still
wants to ride another year. Merckx, who continued his contract under John
Lelangue during the Tour de France, does not exclude therefore the
possibility of stabbing Floyd Landis in the throat with a Swiss Army Knife.
It is not really a surprise, but don't think he's stupid, he's good with
knives. He already took a swift kick in the nuts because he will never get
the benefit of the final victory for Floyd Landis in the Tour de France. We
worked so hard during these four weeks and we will not collect anything for
it. Floyd is a real prick. That's why I want to stab Floyd. But that is
not all, I prolonged my Phonak contract for one year additional, declared
Axel Merckx. I'll wait until the situation settles before making any
decision about the future. I have, of course, still no other team in sight.
It would be a shame to end my cycling actity in this manner as a real loser
associated with the biggest theif of them all, but I'm not saying I'll ride
at any price. I will take into account only the serious possibilities. I
will see what the future will bring to me. If I have all the options in
hand, I will make a decision in agreement with my family. I still want to
ride for another year in competition in order to finish my career in beauty.
As for what John Lelangue will do, I do not have any answer to give. We do
not know what will occur. We are free to transfer. I thus hope to find a
good solution for my case. My objective is to expose Floyd Landis for the
cheat that he is and dispute another Tour de France next year, but for that
I will have of course to integrate into a Pro Tour team, concluded the son
of "Cannibal". Merckx begins the Eneco Tour this Wednesday and will still
dispute the Tour of Great Britain (Augutst 28th through September 3rd). A
pro since 1993, Axel Merckx is married and the father of two girls. He
joined the Phonak team this season, thus joining his childhood friend, John
Lelangue, director-sportif of the team.

Many thanks for your quick and accurate translation. I can't imagine
why folks here think you are a troll. Words cannot express my
gratitude.

A horrible machine translation, missing the spirit Joe so astutely
caches is:

"In spite of the dissolution of the team Phonak cyclist, to which
belonged Floyd Landis, at the end of this season, Axel Merckx wants to
still roll a year. Merckx, which had prolonged its contract in the
training of John Lelangue during the Turn of France, does not exclude
therefore possibility of putting a term at its career at the end of
the season in progress. If it had felt it to come, the advertisement
of the end of all activities of Phonak at the end of the season
represents, despite everything, a true cold shower. It is not really a
surprise, but let us be we nevertheless all remained dumb. We already
took a first snap when we understood that we would undoubtedly touch
never the benefit of the final victory of Floyd Landis to the Turn of
France. We worked so hard during four weeks and we will not collect
anything of it. But it is not all, I had prolonged my contract for one
year additional, declared Axel Merckx. I from now on will wait until
the situation is elutriated, before making the least decision as for
than I will make. I have, of course, still no other team in sight. It
would be a shame to cease any cyclist activity in this manner, but that
does not want to say that I want to remain runner at any price. I think
that I will take into account only the serious possibilities, continues
it. I will see well what the future will bring to me. If I have all
the charts in hands, I will make a decision in agreement with my
family. I want of course to still roll a year in competition in order

to finish my career in beauty. As for what John Lelangue will do, I do
not have any answer to give. We do not know what will occur. We

intended to say that we were free of any transfer. I thus hope to find
a good solution sporting with my case. My objective is to dispute still
a Turn of France the next year, but for that I will have of course to
integrate a team of Protour, concluded the son from the "Cannibal".

It's French, you daft bugger. This is tough; my French is not great.

Axel Merckx has decided not to retire after all.

With the dissolution of the Phonak cycling team, and the departure of
Floyd Landis, at the finish of this season Axel Merkx would like to ride
another year.

Merckx, who had prolonged his contract with the John Lelangue [?squad]
for the Tour de France, had not excluded the possibility of ending his
career at the end of the season.

However, the announcement of the ending of all activities by Phonak have
given [him?] a true cold shower. While it was not really a surprise...

Anyway, he's looking for another year riding if he can find a team.

Dutch = Flemish.... Plenty of online translators do Dutch.. But this is
French so the point is moot.
