Ed Dolan and the fair sex
|
| |
These cycling newsgroups are rampant with anti-women messages, even equating them with whores. The fact is that women are angels. Any man who does not consider a woman an angel is a beast. I am a life long hermit and have had very little contact with women, but I knew my mother well and my sister. They were and are both angels. In fact,... more »

Ed Dolan and liberalism
|
| |
It is a never ending mystery to me why I poke about liberalism like a cat with a mouse. I want it to work but it seems like it never does. I want a single payer health care system just like England has. But that is almost as far as it goes with me. I consider health care a right, not something you have to pay for in order to get it. It falls into the same... more »

Ed Dolan & Tom Sherman - Liberalism!
|
| |
Tom Sherman may imagine that he does not approach Ed Dolan, but that is not the case at all. I have held every belief which he now holds, but my experience in New York City in the 60's cured me of my liberal beliefs. I saw Blacks living like sponges off of welfare with no regard for anything but their own pleasures.... more »

Ed Dolan, Tom Sherman and the cycling newsgroups
|
| |
The fact is that I am fed up with these cycling newsgroups, but I cannot leave as long as Tom Sherman continues to reside here, however haphazardly. Ever my nemesis (he is the worst liberal ever to infect these newsgroups) I must be here for him like forever. Who knows, he may go back to his old ways... more »

Remember the ads for the old Avocet smooth tires?

|
| |
They claimed that smooth tires actually gave you better traction on dry pavement than treaded tires. True or false? How did the smooth tires do on wet pavement? How about on wet painted pavement? Remember the rider they showed in their ads who was leaning his road bike on a downhill turn at (what seemed to me to be) a ridiculous... more »

On Nov 15, 11:28 pm, "(¯`·.¸Craig Chilton¸.·´¯) <[link]> ...Just ride a bicycle on the roads in America, and you are playing Russian Roulette among the reckless drivers. Perfectly legal too. I still prefer the Dutch way to die when you are terminally ill and NOT when you are in top shape.... more »

TdH Mass Chaos and Confusion - Day 1

|
| |
I didn’t work for the Pre-Race Services department this year. There were a number of factors that went into this decision. On a personal note I was in the US this summer and had no clear idea of when (or if) I’d be back in China. Just because my airline ticket was for August 27th that didn’t exactly mean that my leg would be ready to let me go... more »
