Ed Dolan & Tom Sherman - Liberalism!

Tom Sherman may imagine that he does not approach Ed Dolan, but that is not
the case at all. I have held every belief which he now holds, but my
experience in New York City in the 60's cured me of my liberal beliefs. I
saw Blacks living like sponges off of welfare with no regard for anything
but their own pleasures.

Alas, human nature is not what we would like it to be. I am not totally
opposed to the welfare state, but I want it to make some sense. Tom Sherman
hates capitalism not realizing that it is the best way to make people do
what is in their best interests.The welfare state makes sponges of us all.
Before you know it, we are living in a "communist paradise" - where no one
has anything at all except the bare necessities.

We humans are contrary like creatures. We must be motivated to do anything
at all. Capitalism is that motivation. All socialism does is motivate us to
sit back and take what is given to us. Yes, we can get by like that, but is
that all we want out of life?
