A 21-year-old Victorian man has died after being struck by a bicycle
at Moama on the New South Wales-Victorian border.
Police believe the man stepped into the path of a mountain bike which
was riding at speed down a boat ramp at about 1am (AEDT) yesterday.
He was taken to hospital in Melbourne with significant head injuries
but died later last night.
The bike's rider, a 20-year-old from Diamond Creek in Victoria, has
been interviewed by police and released pending further inquiries.
The fatality brings the road toll in NSW this holiday period to 18.
