This only started happening suddenly. FS2K didn't previously
exhibit this behavior. I was hoping the patch would fix this
but it didn't.
It's not the joystick (Logitech FF) since no other flying
game exhibits this problem.
If no one can help me, I have no choice but to return the
game to the store. It is currently unflyable. Useless.
Thanks,
Joe
Sounds like something is very screwed up. Suggest you uninstall and
then reinstall FS2K. Probably corrupted code..

Check that you don't have the rudder turned. Try a plane that has a rudder
adjustment and make sure that it is centered. Make sure that the wind is
off. If using a two-engine plane, make sure that you don't start to move
until both engines have started (it takes a while, but look at the
gauges).

Where do you have your realism settings in the FS 2000/Aircraft/Realism
settings? Particularly the PFactor and Torque. Try setting them to zero.
Then check your FS2000.cfg file and make sure the entries read:
[Realism]
PFactor=0.000000
Torque=0.000000
GyroEffect=0.000000
CrashTolerance=0.000000
General=0.000000
Also, make sure you have auto-coordination turned off in that menu.

Thanks, but you'll note that I said I even tried FULL LEFT

However, now I seem to get a massive hit on frame rate. I
used to get decent frame rates, but now it is like about 1
per second. Like a slide show. For my 450 MHz with 256 meg
RAM and TNT2 Viper 770 card, it shouldn't be THIS slow...
And it didn't used to be either..
I'll do the usual stuff to try and jack up the frame rate
for now.
Sure is a lot of work to get this program running...

I have exactly the same system specs, and I get excellent performance. You
have a bug in your system somewhere.
What video driver are you using? Are you sure FS 2000 is recognizing the
correct driver?
Good luck,
Ruslan
On mine too. Although it only afected the FS2K aircraft; my FS98 imports
were all OK. (I gotta whole fleet of UK F4 Phantoms and they all flew OK)
Eventually resolved it with a mix of aileron/rudder trim. No weather
selected becos my system takes too much of a hit with it :(
It was definately the _trim_ rather than the flying surfaces (you _know_
what i mean ... :) )

Make sure that you are in full screen, some 3D cards will not kick in otherwise.
