On the 24th of Oktover 1994 david # pia.bt.co.uk@242:4900/99.0 asked the
following question: "Which FS Games ?":

dpbcu> I'm looking to buy a new game or two & was wondering which would
you sim- jokeys recommend :-) ?

dpbcu> In particular I've seen 1942 - Pacific Air War, Pacific Strike,
dpbcu> Overlord & seen Dawn Patrol mentioned (not out yet ?). Any thoughts ?

Hallo, David

I come from Germany and have purchased Pacific Strike and Overlord.

Pacific Strike is quite acceptable concerning graphics and sound (with 8
MB's of RAM). Unfortunately, I have only got 4 MB, so I can't get engine-
sound and the digitized machine gun sound - only background music.
The game is rather hard to play (win) :-) - even in the easy modes but
this seems quite realistic.
Your machine should at least be a 486/33. Otherwise you'll fall asleep in
the cockpit. (Better use a 486/66)

My compliments are dedicated to overlord. Extremely fast graphics -
terrific sound (even with 4 MB) and the option for high resolution SVGA-
Mode (if you have got the right graphic card).

Overlord is for me the most fascinating flightsim even when the
documentation isn't what I had expected (all a little confusing with the
thousands of views you can choose)

I'm also waiting for DAWN PATROL.

Bye, Wolfram

SVGA Air Warrior - IF you are into realistic flight models.

The new version will be available by thanksgiving, and is currently
available for pre-order from Chips and Bits
