Damn. I think it is a buddy of mine. His name was George, but we all called him
Bo. He was a great guy. He spent some time up in Ocala when the Ocala Forestry
Huey driver was on vacation. Bo was a great guy. I can't remember how many
stories I was fortunate enough to hear him tell. He even let me sit in the Huey
right seat. A great guy.

My prayers are with him and his family. Fly High Bo.

Sorry to hear of your loss -- we reported this AM on Firefighter.Com --

"During his career in Florida, "Bo" Burton is credited with saving a number of
firefighters during serious wildland incidents. Just this pas,t April Burton
rescued a tractor operator, whose rig had become stalled by heavy smoke."

The Incident Commander says that the likely cause is that he suffered a
coronary.

Bo was an awesome guy. I spent days on end talking to him. He was full of
advice and was just one hell of a guy. He spent hours telling me of his
military experiences...All kinds of war stories and secrets. What an absolute
awesome guy he was. He had a son a little older than me, I know that, and he
had a wife. I am very, very sorry that it was him who went down. Again, it hits
close to home to me. Bo will always been in my thoughts. My prayers and best
wishes to his family and friends. I always enjoyed it when he came to Ocala. He
even let me sit right seat in a Huey. We spent about an hour talking in it, and
he showed me just about everything about the ship that he could. He always
looked for me at the airport, as I did with him. I guess I was fortunate enough
to be called his "little buddy." I can only imagine the pain his long time
friends and family are going through...

Goodday Bo...Fly hi.

Beau Burton was my stick buddy and roomate in flight school. We graduated in
Nov 1981 Royal Blue. I was shocked this morning when I read that he had been
killed. Although I haven't seen him or his ex in many years I wish now that
I had looked him up sooner. If anyone has an address for his family or
Astrid his ex wife please let me know I would love to speak with them again.
