Painting a Tiger

This is mainly directed at Grumman owners; you know who you are. I have
a Tiger that I'd like to get painted later this year, and I'm looking
for any recommendations from Grumman owners for paint shops that
they've used. Location doesn't matter, but quality and familiarity with
bonded airframes is a must.

If you are talking about a Tiger Moth, I know someone who had a
great
paint job done. He had it completely restored by an excellent A&P who
also
restored an award winning Piper Cub for him. You can e-mail him at

You should subscribe to the Grumman Gang. I'll dig out how to do
it and mail it to you.

There are a number of paint shops you might consider. Where are
you - or in what area of the country would you like to get your
Tiger painted ?
