I think it is time to fight fire with fire. After one of these murders:
a. burn the murder's family's poppy fields.
b. burn down his family's home.
c. arrest whoever put him up to it - such as father or imam.

Actually the evidence seems to indicate that we don't.

The number of 'green on blue' attacks seems to indicate that we're

Reacting to people shooting at you doesn't start a blood feud in
Afghanistan.

Going around and burning out Uncle Ibrahim and Aunty Fatima after
you've shot young Idirim when he ambushed you, is...

The Pashtunwali honour system is form of absolute democracy taken to
extreme ends.

People are considered to be directly responsible for their own
actions.

However punishing someone for someone else's actions is grounds for a
feud.

Incidentally, it's also a war crime...
