Electronics isn't my expertise but I enjoy it all the same.... more »

rec.aviation.homebuilt U shaped wings Some time ago there was a magazine cover showing a twin engine aircraft with a U shape in each wing. Passed my PGL written exam :)
...America where else? The more I learn about building airplanes, the less I want to buy something sealed in fiberglass, or covered in sheet metal 30 yrs. ago. Mark, one who wired and plumbed his own house.

Can't remember plane name.
An older type two seater, all metal, low wing, fixed tricycle gear (it may have castered), with twin vertical stablizers, and about an 85 hp engine. NO RUDDER PEDALS. One I remember you had to hand crank. Darn if I can remember the name of this craft. Can't be too many that fits this description.... more »

FLYING VET in Prison over CHRISTMAS
As vexatious litigants, the British authorities continue to keep the Flying Vet, Maurice Kirk, in prison and away from his family. As a pilot, he had bought an aircraft with a mock-up of a weapon that had been used as a film prop. The "weapon" had been thrown together from various bits of scrap iron, and was blocked off and without a... more »
