Any engineer worth his salt will copy any feature that contributes to
his goals. Any aircraft that is to be approved by the FAA for a CofA
will be supported by structural analyses.
So the answer is yes to both questions, I guess.

Surely both if not all three. (Have drawing table, three sets of
arms, full set of slide rules. For sale, cheap, also, RS-80; needs I/
O card.

I use Microstation, it takes up less space than all the mechanical
stuff. Now, if I can figure out why I still keep all the mechanical
stuff.....

For CAD I use a 486 computer for which no battery is available
anymore. A year ago I had to do without until I could rig a new battery.
I needed to do some simple drawings and the old kit was dusted off.
